M.F.A. Themed Entertainment Design at SCAD

 

My studio work is concentrated in mixed media with an emphasis on painting. The work I have produced thus far draws from observational subject matter and primarily focuses on personal experiences that capture the essence of a moment or a person from my life. Travel is a huge part of my art making process and some of my travels have included fine art programs in Italy and France, as well as backpacking through Australia and New Zealand for six months. Travel has improved my understanding of the importance of culture and location when telling a story thorough art. The people I have met, the stories we exchanged and experiences we shared provide a solid foundation for my creative work and vivid reminder that we do not live in a bubble.
